2022 Pinot Noir - Three Rows

From Antonio Galloni's Vinous, May 2024:  The 2022 Pinot Noir The Three Rows emerges from the estate's oldest vines, planted in 1989 with a selection from Tom Rochioli's West Block.  Strong mineral and savory notes play off a core of intense dark red/purplish fruit in this potentm structured Pinot.  The 2022 was bottled very recently.  It needs a year or two in the cellars to come into its own.  93 pts

From Jeb Dunnuck, June 2024:  Coming from the vines planted in 1989 with budwood from Tom Rochioli, the 2022 Pinot Noir The Three Rows, as the name suggests, is only sourced from three rows of vineyard and is a deep ruby/magenta hue.  The nose boasts woodsy aromas of forest floor, cola spice, baked black cherries, cedar and anise.  Medium-bodied, it has a good deal of ripe concentration, with sweet tannins and a generous feel through its long finish.  It's showing very well today and is going to age nicely over the next 10-12 years.  94 pts
